Winter Storm affecting Western Washington, Portland - Emergency Message for Boeing Employees (Updated Jan 20, 2012).
NEW - 4:30 PM (PST) update:
Winter snow storms moved across western Washington and Portland, Ore, earlier this week causing hazardous road conditions, heavy snow fall, power outages and freezing temperatures.
All sites and facilities around the region are operating normally. Boeing's Frederickson site resumed normal operations for 2nd shift on Friday, Jan 20 and power was restored to the 10-13 and 10-16 buildings as of 11:00 AM.
Employees specifically notified to work overtime should report to work as scheduled.
Personal safety is important during severe winter weather. Employees are urged to monitor area weather, traffic and transit schedules before venturing out. This information can be found at http://www.weather.gov/seattle.
Boeing will continue to monitor conditions in the aftermath of the storm. Employees should continue to check the Employee Emergency Hotline at 1-800-899-6431 for updates and site status.
Boeing is operating normally at all other sites and there are no changes to work schedules. Employees should report to work at their regular time and location.
